d. justine grew up halfway in Glen Burnie, MD, and at age fourteen, her family made the big move over the Mason-Dixon line to Hanover, Pennsylvania. She graduated top of her class from a private Christian school in Gettysburg, dabbled a bit in community college, and after a series of odd jobs, she has settled down as a preschool teacher, molding classes of future visionaries. She is a first-time author, a proud VW Beetle owner, a lover of many nerdy things, and feels very awkward about referring to herself in the third person. Her debut novel, "scattered truths (veris passim)" has not won any awards (yet), but is the end result of her first time accepting the challenge of National Novel Writing Month in November 2010.

With eyes that won't stay one color, a vivid and permanent memory, and a mouth that won't stay closed, Georgia Freebird tends to find herself in uncomfortable situations. And while the physical inability to tell even the smallest lie doesn't afford her the luxury of a conventional or comfortable life, being strange is is the best and worst part of being born a true Outsider.
