Donna Kolling Lear has been a fan of the mystery genre for many years. She was born and raised in Southern California and lives in Santa Ana. Crimson Gold is her first book.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I keep very busy. I participate in fundraising events for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), a charity that is focused on finding a cure for Type1 Diabetes. I am also active in my writing group, Sister's In Crime. I love to dance and take ballroom and latin dance lessons. Of course I love to read.
What do you read for pleasure?
I enjoy all types of crime and mystery novels, and biographies.
