Don Stanford
Biography
Following his discharge from the army, Don worked at several jobs before attending the University of Southwestern Louisiana; then worked in several fields until beginning his career with the State of Louisiana, retiring as public relations manager for child support.
He is married to Carol Richard Stanford. They reside near Opelousas, LA. They are the parents of three and the grandparents of seven. He teaches the adult Bible study at his church and a weekly Bible study at the Palace Cafe' in Opelousas.
Don wrote short stories, poems and a novel while raising his family but that work perished when their home was destroyed by fire. Family and career demands took up most of his time, yet he hoped to return to writing. Retirement freed the time for him to pursue his love. He is currentyl working on another novel.
