Donna King-Nykolaycuyk is a writer and a poet who also has an ardent love of baking and cooking. She is a member of the Chicago Writers Association and an avid reader. Though she has always had a passion for writing, Stand Like A Man is her first endeavor at writing a biographical novel. She currently resides in her home town in Illinois with her husband, Douglas, and their family.
Upon hearing the story of her husband’s grandfather having been raised during the Great Depression, and then hearing how he served heroically as a Marine with Native American heritage in The Pacific Theater during World War II, she felt both challenged and compelled to write his story. She hopes she has done it justice. Please visit her website at DonnaKing-Author.com.
