Rubbish. The author can't even get the names of his characters right. Who the F*** is Hermione? The grammar is poor, the plot worse and the arousal level zero. Writers need to learn to write. James Masters hasn't mastered this skill yet.
  • Yellow Pearl - Eighteen short stories from the Stringybark Australian History Awards on July 12, 2012

"Yellow Pearl" the title story in this anthology is beautifully and evocatively written. Indeed, all the stories are satisfying. Some have unexpected twists, others paint pictures of times past that intrigue. Production quality is high and I will read more of these anthologies.

A neat little vignette with a clever ending. The writing style was a little brusque and the over-use of the protagonist's name became a little dull, but a good read nonetheless.
  • Into the Darkness on July 23, 2012

Low flying over the long beaches of Rhyll, the crew of the Lancaster buzzed a couple making love in a row boat... this book is full of anecdotes, both serious and funny. These anecdotes make the bleak world of wartime Europe come alive. I can add little to Bronnie Wu's review. This is a masterful book. Such a shame the author has died. RIP.

Boring. There is no arousal here. It's just porn and all porn gets boring when it is written in the same way. Grammar is poor and the constant POV of the writer is just tedious.
  • The Heat Wave of '76 and other award-winning stories from the Stringybark Erotic Fiction Award on June 24, 2013

A lovely work. Sensuous at times. Explicit at others. Got me in. Great quality work too, which makes a nice change for for erotic in e-books Five star rated!
