A Nice Boy

A wide scope of stories that reflect our colour and diversity as a nation. Ranging from poignant to rollicking, the stories explore how we are shaped - not only by our great, wide land, but also by our history, our communities, our families and our neighbours. There is a celebration of tolerance in its pages, laced with glimpses of the damage done by those who aren’t.
And I totally adore the story called "Oscar Levitz and the Human Tower of Tarragona". It is GOLD!
Timber!

Another great collection of Australian short stories. Two of my favourites are "Timber!" by Gabrielle Gardener (a wonderful delight) and "Soundscape" by Chris Moss (breath-taking) but so many deserve a mention. The scope of genres is impressive and the snapshots of Australian life (from every angle) are true and thoroughly engaging. A great Australian anthology.
