Derrick M. Tennial is an author, educator, philosopher, and Theo-liberationist. He attended University of Tennessee, Knoxville and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Memphis, a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Freed Hardeman University, and a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum Studies from Georgia Southern University. He is the founder of DT Media, a publishing firm that specializes in electronic and print media for conscious and creative minds. In addition, he is also a radically inclusive minister of reconciliation committed to bring health, healing, and wholeness to all. He is a motivational speaker and workshop clinician who presented throughout the United States on topics such as cultural diversity and HIV/AIDS awareness.
He has contributed to, authored, and edited books in a variety of genres including Cultivating Cultural and Creative Minds, Saved, Sanctified, and SGL, Be Reconciled, Marginalized Men, and Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.
