Dusty Lynn Holloway

Dusty lives in California with her family who keeps her very busy. She has superpowers, but doesn't like to talk about them, frequently bemoans the fact that she doesn't have Sees Candy stock, thinks taking care of yourself is a way of life and not just a fad, and tries to live each day with the motto that you only get one life to live, so live it well, and live it to the fullest.

As an avid watcher of movies and reader of books, she frequently considers herself a ninja (especially around spiders), wishes that the owners of the beach house she loves would just give her the keys already, and really wants the car KITT from Knight Rider to be tucked snugly inside of her garage. She doesn't think he'd mind being painted blue.

She'd love to hear from you! You can find her on Twitter, Linkdin, Facebook and Goodreads.

Smashwords Interview

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I love the surprises. When I write, sometimes, often, I write by the seat of my pants. I think and plan, and then I just write and see where it takes me. Sometimes it takes me to a familiar place. A place I can look around and see how my novel plotting got me there, and sometimes it's completely unexpected. The familiar is great, but so is the unexpected. I think great novels have an ecclectic mix of both.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes! I wrote a short story in high school. I never finished it because I gave what I had written to my English teacher, and she gave it back with a lot of bleeding red all over the page and an "It's ok but a little immature." Imagine! Me! Immature! Lol. I'm actually grateful for her honesty. It WAS horrible, but it was the best I had at the time. I'm grateful for a craft that grows with me through time. One in which I can make mistakes, learn from them, and hopefully create a better story for you.
