This third book in Nicky Charles' "Law of the Lycans" series was by far the most complex. The plot was much more intricate as there were many players and points of views. I found that I had to force myself to slow down and really take my time when reading the plot for fear of missing something. As with the first 2 books, I found that the main characters were each very distictive with very clear points of view. What I liked the most about this third book was that Nicky brought everyone together and it was done in a such a way as to show how each of them had grown and how their relationships had changed. The struggle between Cassie and Bryan to understand one another made this book very believable and I found myself relating to the characters on a "real life" level. I hope Nicky continues with the series!

This was my favourite book of the entire series. The relationship between Mel and Ryne was fiery and exciting which matched the plot completely. I absolutely recommend this book and the entire series!

Out of the 3 books in this series, I would have to say that this first one was the most tender in terms of the exploration of Elise and Kane's relationship to one another. It definitely had an exciting plot that left you wanting more!

I definitely concur with the other reviews in that I could not put this book down! Nicky Charles' writing keeps getting better with each book (having read the entire triology of the Law of the Lycans series). Excellent build up and character development and the mystery was not nearly as easy to figure out as it was in The Mating. I cannot wait for the next book, secretly hoping it will be more about Damien :) Thanks Nicky!
