What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Coffee, definitely coffee, and the opportunity to explore the world through the stories I write.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first story I read that had an impact on me was Liesel Moak Skorpen's We Were Tired of Living in a House. It was the only book I wanted to read in 2nd grade. The rhythm of the text and the detail of Doris Burn's pictures made me long for the adventure of setting out on my own. It is one of two books from that time that I still have, the other being The Travels of Monarch X by Ross E. Hutchins.
