Joel Forman

Biography

I always wanted to publish a book. During my working years, spending 31 years in aerospace as a software engineer, the lack of time prevented me from doing so. I wrote many articles about numismatics, which is my hobby. After leaving aerospace, I turned my hobby into a business, becoming an Accredited and Certified Numismatic Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers. I had many articles published by Coin World. Now, the time has finally arrived to realize a life long goal: Publish a book. For years, My wife and I have traveled to many different places. We have been as above the artic circle as well as walking along the shore of the Caspian Sea in Baku, Azerbaijan. Our daughter and her family live in Brazil. Over the years, I donated my personal coin collection to 14 different national museums. Part of my retirement consists of traveling to places many people don't visit. One of my lifetime goals is to have my own forest. In the summer of 2009, I planted my family forest, which consists of 10,000 fruit trees near the biblical city of Beersheva, the capital of Israel's Negev. As part of my numismatic actities, I work as a numismatic consultant to some museums. The ebook I wrote concerns my experiences in Israel, Turkey and Azerbaijan. After the ebook is published, I would appreciate feedback.
