Smashwords Interview

What's the story behind your latest book?
When our granddaughter was small she loved all kinds of hats, so when my wife or I saw an unusual one we would say "that's a Hannah Hat." I thought that would be a great title of a book.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
When my first book was published in in paperback in 2006 it sold for $12.95, and I received .48 for writing it. I didn't think this was quite fair, because it's not easy to write a book and it a long time. Now the price is much lower, but I get 70%.
