Eric Endres

Hey, I'm Eric. I grew up in a small town in north Texas absorbed in Animorphs and Goosebumps, and through the years really developed a love of sci-fi/fantasy that shows in my work. Favorite authors today include Terry Goodkind, Jennifer Fallon, and Yoshikawa Miki. I try to bring a sense of realism into worlds that can only exist in words, while incorporating my own experiences and interests. My goal in every book is to let the reader have fun.

Smashwords Interview

What motivated you to become an indie author?
Maybe "author" isn't the best way to describe me. It conjures an image of sitting at a desk and wringing a story out of my head. My only reason for writing (and the reason it took my first story seven years from conception to publication) was because I had a fun idea and I wanted to play with it. The reason I finally decided to publish it was because I hoped others could have as much fun experiencing the story as I did.
When did you first start writing?
Though I first started writing in high school, I was dreaming up my own stories long before. Reading series like the Animorphs and Goosebumps would start a snowball effect in my head and I would lose myself for days building on the stories I imagined. It was in high school that I built my first computer and had my own space to work, but it still wasn't until after college that I made a more serious attempt to flesh out and give form to my stories.
