E.B. (aka Erin) is fascinated by the power of words and passionate about sharing what she has learned to create a positive impact on our world and communities. Finding inspiration from the imaginative muses of her daughter and scenes from her travels, she authors stories for children under the pen name E.B. Favé that encourage creativity and give parents tools to highlight the natural goodness of their children.
Splitting time between the whimsical world of children's literature and the fast-paced responsibilities of professional life, E.B. is constantly looking for ways to give back.
Profits from each children's book purchase goes directly to help the charities she supports, fulfilling her mission to bring joy and spread light with words.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The idea for "Emmaline's Much, Much Too Big Wings" actually came to me the morning I learned I was pregnant with my daughter. I just love that inspiration hit in such a magical moment full of creativity (and new life).
My daughter has continued to be a powerful source of inspiration and motivation for me as a writer and Indie Author. She often participates as a treasured first-reader and valued voice of my target audience. I strive to ensure my works live up to her expectations, and bring joy to other parents and children.
Why do you use a pen name?
I love the creativity and possibilities of a pen name. Initially, I chose a pen name because I wanted something that would really resonate with my readers, and give them confidence that my works would be worthy of their readership.
Once I settled on E.B. Favé, this pen name has also offered clarity and importance to this one "hat" I wear (among many others on any given day).
Emmaline isn’t quite like her sisters and brothers. She can’t fly, flap or flutter like all of the others. Her wings are so big they drag on the ground, but where does she belong and what can she do? Emmaline stumbles, fumbles, tumbles and falls through lands of tangled tree giants and snowy winter wonders on a journey to discover her true purpose in this whimsical, warm-hearted rhyming read.
