Mr. Rubino correctly writes about religion with what initially appears to be a degree of objective critical observation, but then goes on to jump from the frying pan into the fire. There is no more evidence of reincarnation than the idea of heaven and hell. If one could be reincarnated, what part would go on? The personality must not go on or we would all remember our previous lives in order to learn from the experience. (I cannot accept the phony, unscientific, past life hypnosis.) The part of us that we call "I" is made up of memories and genetics, and is obviously destroyed when the brain cells and the rest of the body dies. The idea of a soul is pure conjecture. Even if there is a "soul" that goes on, that soul must then go on as an entity that is independent of the balance the the being. Hence, the part that theoretically goes on, is not "I". Sorry Mr. Rubino, but "I" cannot be reincarnated, however "I" may be able to evolve in this life to use objective critical observation. E. Karl Pierson
