What's the story behind your latest book?
My daughter Stephanie painted a portrait of a Mermaid for her niece who is also named Mazzy. The painting and name inspired me to write the mermaid story. It has been something I have wanted to do for a long time and I am so excited to have finished the first short story for the series.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I just finished a self publishing class that showed me all the options for publishing and I wanted to give it a shot and see how it would work for my style of writing.
The story of Mazzy the Mermaid begins with her birth but subsequent stories will follow her through childhood until she matures as a woman mermaid who is destined to be Queen. She finds love but it is forbidden and it could very well cost her not only her crown and family but also her immortal soul.
A mermaid fantasy story of a Princess who conquers not only a powerful spell cast on her by her Grandparents, the King and Queen of Travestana located under the Caspian Sea but her own fear of risking her life to save her best friend.
