Mopelola live in Lagos, Nigeria with her husband and sons. An avid reader and a deep thinker who has the gift to see gold in the most terrible of life experiences and turn it into a message. She writes about real life experiences and creates inspiring stories out of them. She was trained and had practiced as a stockbroker/Investment adviser for a number of years, but creates the time to write especially in the night period. According to Mopelola, she believes that writing is a gift as she sometimes wakes up from sleep to pen down words that had gathered in her head, which otherwise would have been lost.
During her growing up years, she discovered that writing about her personal struggles assuaged her painful experiences; as a result she has been able to build up a huge archive of memoirs and articles which has grown over time. Her stories are inspired from her environment, life experiences of others, scenes from the past and personal experiences.
Who are your favorite authors?
I have so many favorites in various writing genres. Francine Rivers in the Christian Fiction, Frank Perreti and Tim Lahaye, the author of Left Behind series in the same genre, John Grisham in the legal drama and so many others I cannot remember at the moment.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I am ever curious of what lies ahead of a new day, what opportunities and challenges each day brings. There is something exciting about waiting to see how a day will turn out. A life can be changed positively or negatively in the course of the day, so I always look forward to the dawn of a new day.
