Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up mostly in the country, the oldest of seven kids in a poor family. Something we could always afford were notebooks, so I filled them up with dreams and ideas.
When did you first start writing?
I was eight when I wrote my first story about two children who climbed a rainbow by sticking gum to their shoes. Sadly, the story has been lost forever.

Fun and fast-paced story and very well written. I enjoyed the impossible equations the math-loving main character invents for herself. Very relatable and fun, and the eighties references are great. I laughed out loud in several parts of this book. Highly reccomended.
