How do you decide what to write about?
We live in an age of immediate information. There's so much going on around us all the time, so there's always something people want to know about. I write to help people solve their problems, become more fulfilled, lead a happier, more productive life.
What authors and thought leaders have influenced your work the most?
There have been so many--and it's a deep, broad mix of people across almost every subject area. I'm a business writer with a strong background in the Language Arts. So my list would include Steve Jobs, Tom Peters, Marshall McLuhan, Thomas Pynchon, Henry Miller, John Kao, Charles Bukowski, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Warren Buffett, William Burroughs, George Lois, David Ogilvy, Don DeLillo, Sun Tzu, and Jack Kerouac. The names goes on and on. I read insatiably, so my influencers are wide and varied!
