Annemarie lives and works in Nairobi Kenya. She's a prolific watcher and reader of books and series that deal with the supernatural as a whole. She works at home, ghost writing as well as writing, marketing and generally trolling her books online. She has one son who she's attempting to grow without severely traumatising him. It's a work in progress.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
When you're happy, you don't really need an inspiration to get out of bed. I do work that I enjoy; I have a son who is turning out loads better than I could have hoped, I live in a house that I love. Its no hardship getting up every day; I have so much to look forward to.
Who are your favorite authors?
I am a lover of stories. I love an excellent story well told. Being an author myself, its not so much that I have faves, but that I have people I aspire to be when I grow up. There is Diana Gabaldon who has written an excellent guide for relationships disguised as an excellent series of books. The tv series...meh. There is Maria Doria Russell who wrote two books about our relationship with God. There is some anger there, some uncomfortable truths and a character you just fall in love with. I think that's the essence of a good story. If you fall in love with the character; Jamie Fraser, Father Emilio Sandoz, Harry Potter, Lestat de Lioncourt and his lover Louis...and then there are the tv series that are so well written its like a good book all over again; Eric Kripke and Jeff Davis have written such characters for Supernatural and Teen Wolf. Stories so well woven you can watch over and over and find something new every time. Just like with a good book.
The year is 1990, Leo is looking out for number one, Mya wants to get out of town, several people want a piece of them. Its really complicated. And then Fate comes along and adds its own pinch of salt in the mix. Chaos ensues. What will happen in the end? Does Love really conquer all?

The Child of Destiny approaches. Nobody is ready though. Phil and Lillian just want answers as to why they didn't pass on to wherever it is you go after death. Mya just wants to get out; go to college; escape the small town of Le Marais. Leo wants to escape too; his methods are a bit more...mercenary though. But Fate doesn't give a fuck. She's coming for all of them.
Life is short; Phil and Lillian learn that the hard way. When they find themselves standing beside their dead bodies, wondering what the fuck happened. And then...nothing happens. No light at the end of the tunnel, no avenging angel or creepy reaper comes calling. Its disconcerting, what are a couple of disenfranchised ghosts to do? Well, that is indeed the question.
