Biography
Hello! I’m Jonathan Macnab, writer of The Hidden Kingdom book series. I write stories because I believe that in every story there are shards of truth. Stories speak to us at a deep, spiritual level, whether we intend them to do so or not, because we are part of a story. We are part of God’s story. Finding our place in that story is the single most important thing we will ever do in our life, because all true life comes out of it.
So, I write. I write the stories of us all, and I do it through fiction, because imagination is built into who we are. We are meant to dream, to see the unseen and wait for it to come. That is why I write with hope, hope for what could be, what should be – if the world were as God intended. My books all come from taking a long, hard look at my own soul, and asking my Father God what it is that He intended when He made me., and what He intended for the world around me and it’s beautiful people. God’s word says “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart…”(Jeremiah 1:5), and I take God at His word. He has a purpose for me, and, because He is the only good Father, He shows me who I am day by day, teaching me. As He shares with me the truth about myself and about the world, I want to share it with you.
