Diana Harris (née Harkness) was brought up in Christchurch and now lives in the countryside north of Auckland. She is devoted to writing about New Zealand – the past and the present – and what makes it special.
She has had several books published, including two children’s stories (Guardian of the Bridge and Litterbugs) and a collection of interesting facts about New Zealand, in The Kiwi Fact Book.
Some time ago she became fascinated by the story of Johnny Jones, her great-great-great grandfather, and has spent many years researching and writing this epic tale.
