This story is not long enough. I was just getting familiar with the characters and enjoying it when it came to its logical conclusion. I am looking forward to a sequel. The author has done a very good job of actually combining two stories into one, and both have interesting characters, plots, situations, descriptions, etc.
The story of the friends who go camping in the "wild" interested me by the portrayal of young people's attitudes and problems, and how they attempt to solve them. The "ghost" story is just creepy and macabre enough to be excellent for the Halloween season, without being gory and gross.
This book should appeal to a broad audience.
