What do you read for pleasure?
I like Lee Child who authors the Jack Reacher books. I also have been breezing through all of the Harry Bosch novels by Michael Connelly and started his Mickey Haller books.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Usually my phone because I can read with the lights off and not have any problems.
Detective Brian Van Buren is a fictional police detective working for the City of Tacoma in Washington State. He isn’t like the detectives you might read in other books. He has atrocious eating habits, smokes, and wouldn’t pass a physical fitness test if his life depended on it.
Van Buren has a habit of bending rules, one that infuriates his superiors, but when has he ever cared what his bosses think?
Always relentless in his pursuit of criminals, Van Buren is initially introduced in my debut novel, Cherry Street, where he worked the case of an abducted child. The trail to find the missing child is stalled by a lack of evidence and corruption within the police department.
One thing is always true; people have secrets and will do anything to hide them.
A young woman is killed in a brutal murder that shocks the city of Tacoma.
Detective Van Buren returns in this thrilling novel, determined to track down the psychopath responsible.
But is it too late?
Because the killer has already moved on to the next victim.
A child disappears and is presumed kidnapped by police. A detective haunted by the last abduction, is on the case and is relentless in his pursuit to bring the people responsible to justice.
A man on a quiet street starts to follow the child's disappearance.
His curiosity could solve the case. Or, he could be the next victim.
Welcome to Cherry Street.
