Gemma Wood lives on the coast in England. She once spent a holiday in America, and has since fallen in love with the country, and its people.
She also loves animals, and most of her books feature an animal of some sort.
She trains seeing eye/guide dog puppies, and through her work appreciates just how much these dogs transform the lives of people with sight problems.
Her own sight is not brilliant. She once took her dog for a run, and brought a different dog back home.
