Georgette Noëllat was born in Victoria, Australia, of Scottish and French parents. Displaying prodigious talent in music, she wrote her first book, “Theory for Young Students” at the age of thirteen. Following on from the University of Melbourne Conservatorium where she gained a degree in Music, she went on to study Law and practised as a Barrister and Solicitor until illness and a stroke forced an early retirement from Law.
Georgette and her Veterinary Surgeon husband Jan moved to South Gippsland in rural Victoria, where they farmed for the next eighteen years.
Her autobiographical writings capture the laughter and heartache of life which her observant mind and sharp wit share generously with the reader.
