Brought up in North London, Libby Patterson studied Politics and Sociology gaining her Degree from Sunderland University. She moved to the Western Isles in 2006 through a work transfer opportunity. She has three grown up children, a son and twin daughters; She now lives in South Uist with her greyhounds and her partner. In 2012 Libby was made redundant and decided it was time to fulfil her ambition to write a novel. She attended a Crime Writer’s Work-shop with Caro Ramsay, and that is where Matt Macaulay came to life. Libby cares passionately about the strength of the community and family values and believes the people of Uist have much to teach the people of wider Scotland and beyond. Libby has now written two novels: Hebridean Storm and The Uist Connection and is currently busy writing and researching the third.
