Gideon Dashe was born into the family of Mr and Mrs Yilpiring Godfrey Dashe in Kano state of Nigeria. His parents are both from Chip(Mhiship) District of Pankshin Local Government Area in Plateau state.
He left kano to attend primary school in Pyabor a neighbouring village to his village, Mhinzam. The intention of his parents was for him, their first son, to secure admission into a missionary secondary school in Gindiri. He was successful. He proceeded to University of Jos, where he bagged a Bachelor of Pharmacy.
He has never associated with a literary group or have ever shown tendencies for creative writing, but the inspiration was sparked in July 2011 while listening to a sermon by Myles Munroe at T. D. Jakes church aired by Dan Foster an American radio presenter with the Inspiration FM in Lagos, Nigeria of West Africa.
The Author has been in his village for seven (7) good years during his pre-university studies and it has helped in the creative perspective of this fiction.
The Author is married to Bether and are blessed with a son named Green and his daughter, Bernice.
His book turned out to be the first book to come out from his chiefdom.
A brief background knowledge of his chiefdom in also included in the later part of the book, since there is no online article from any quarters about his people.
He is currently working as a Product Manager with Fidson Healthcare Plc, Lagos, Nigeria.

Musa and Dimka are their children who met later in life, became friends without the knowing about their parents’ history thereby helping t in their reunion.
The Weeping Palm Tree

It is an African story about a blind pastor, Pastor Adamu Katnyam, who was trained by European missionaries. His assignment was to prevent the power of darkness that was to destroy the destiny of a child that will change the fortune of his community.
It is a story that describes a community (Mhiship or Chip) that has never been written about in any formal journal.
