Wendy C. Giffen

I am an unrepentant lover of life, author, certified hypnotist, erstwhile potter and teacher at present living in Canada. I love dawns and ride a bike.

I was born on the autumn equinox which suggests balance ... but that’s something my life sometimes lacks! Perhaps that is why, no matter what country I am in, I feel writing is a constant in my life.

I longed to settle and I have tried, but that next bend is so enticing! Amongst other adventures I trained as a teacher at Cambridge, designed and built a house, owned and ran a hypnotherapy clinic, farmed, potted ... and had several children. During all that I wrote!

My children groan at my puns and my husband sighs at my housekeeping, when he notices which is rare. I love to kayak or sail around the islands, to drive a horse and buggy, and to bike. I collect witty fridge magnets, reluctantly go to the gym, and happily take our four dogs for numerous country walks.

I have long hair, my eyes are blue, and I am so unused to having reading glasses that I keep leaving them everywhere ...
