This is a novel about the second half of life and how one might deal with the predictable, if not inevitable crises: divorce, downsizing, depression, discouragement, and denial. In a sense it is a stealth self-help book, but rather than preach rigid doctrines and disciplines, it attempts to teach the reader through suggestion, explanation, and example, all packaged in a heart-felt story.
