I am a New Zealander, and have been living in Japan, the Kansai area for the past 20 years or so. I have lived in Kobe for most of that time. I have always loved reading, but lack the drive, dedication, and talent to sit still and write a full length novel. As such I write in bursts and seem to come up with works of short story length only. I personally am a fan of "what if" kind of stories where the ending is open to interpretation.
My stories are for entertainment, so please enjoy!
What are you working on next?
I'm working on a children's edutainment book. I don't like that word much, but the book is about educating children and also giving them some inspiration as well- so edutainment fits the bill I guess. If it goes well of course I hope it will be a series!!
Who are your favorite authors?
I ve been an avid reader of adventure and mystery type fiction since elementary school. The first books I really loved to read The Hardy Boys by Franklin W Dixon and The Three Investigators by Robert Arthur Jr. Devoured them one after another! Then as I got older I progressed through a lot of different authors and stages. But still very much a lover of mystery's and thrillers. I'm one of those people who will try and read everything by one author until I no longer feel the same enthusiasm and then try and find something else. I no longer have a favorite author per se- but if I do like a book, I will seek out another book by that author until I feel time for a change.
Redacted- a modern euphemism for censorship of documents. In this short story, it is not a document that has been redacted-but a person, and this short story is a one page speculative perspective of their experience.
Inspiration comes from thinking about where is Edward Snowden now.
