Rosemarie Gortler, Sallie Bacher, Diane Vogel

Rosemarie Gortler, Diane Carroll Vogel and Sallie Bachar have co-authored Prayer, Faith and a Bit of Chocolate. Their book is a collection of real-life true stories—most of them from the authors’ own experiences, reminding the reader how special everyone is in the eyes of God. Everyday miracles aren’t coincidences—they show how intimately God involves Himself in everyday life.
The authors believe that the love of God truly satisfies the human heart, but a bit of chocolate lifts the human spirit by delivering antioxidants and feel-good chemicals to the brain—and tastes good, too! So, for added comfort the authors have included favorite chocolate recipes throughout the book for the reader’s enjoyment.
Rosemarie Gortler, a Licensed Professional Counselor, is a freelance writer and co-author of a North American award winning five-volume religious book series published by Our Sunday Visitor Publishers. Diane Carroll Vogel, a freelance writer and retired high school English teacher, has won awards from the Virginia Press Women and the National Federation of Press Women. Sallie Bachar is an author, freelance writer and journalist whose work has appeared in numerous publications.
Rosemarie and Sallie met at a writers’ workshop in Sallie’s home state of Wisconsin. Diane and Rosemarie live in Spotsylvania County. Prayer, Faith and a Bit of Chocolate came about because of the three women’s growing friendship, a collective desire to share stories of everyday miracles and a fondness for chocolate.
