Gerry Pirani is a self-published author struggling with a thankless daytime job in mental health. The series The Search For Intelligent Life on Earth was born of pure imagination and wishful thinking, spiritual study, and the study of human relationships. It's an ambitious series with strong, encompassing themes of spiritual and sexual health that utilizes a same sex couple to demonstrate the gender pitfalls and opportunities we face every day. Pirani has also written less literary, more genre or popular fiction based novellas, and is working on completing the The Search trilogy, editing several novellas, and writing a fourth sister novel.
Gerry Pirani loves to hear from readers.
What is your writing process?
I'm all over the place, including most often in my imagination. I'm not quite so spread out as John in the second book of The Search For Intelligent Life on Earth series, but I can get pretty close - without the psychosis.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
How much I love my characters and enjoy being in their heads (or maybe I should say, having them in mine).
Can love really change us? Find out in Gerry Pirani’s heart-wrenching novel, The Search for Intelligent Life on Earth: A Story of Love. Spanning three continents, this tale of love speaks to identity, transcendence, and redemption. High concept fiction (literary). Part 1 in a series of novels and novellas.
