The express purpose of my entire life has been to impact the world with the life transforming message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For the past 42 years my wife and I have served in youth ministry, as Pastors, Missionaries, and Mission Administrators. Currently, I work with a major audio Bible ministry. In this position I am working with 112 partners in 35 countries of sub-Sahara Africa.
I am a graduate of South West Assemblies of God College (B.A.) and the ORU Seminary in Tulsa, Oklahoma (M.A. Misions). I did two years of post-graduate research and study at the University of Ghana. The area of my research was New Religious Movements in Africa.
An Igbo pastor from Nigeria recently said to me, "You teach us that we must understand the Bible to be good pastors. How can we do that when we can't even read our own language?" With 50% of the world's population unable to read, how will vernacular Bibles impact the villages and towns where traditional oral cultures still prevail?
