How do you approach cover design?
When I am looking for a new book to read, the book cover determines whether or not I want to read the description. If the book cover is too busy or not attractive I move on. I try to instill this into my book covers. I think about the mood I am trying to portray in the book. I want to keep it simple, yet compelling. It must draw the reader's attention.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
I have several, but to break it down to five might be hard to do. For fiction I like, The Pawn by Steven James. It has real characters with real problems. The tension increases with every turn of the page, so much so, as the reader you cannot see how it will end in the last hundred pages. Brad Thor's The Lions of Lucerne. The story focuses on a Secret Service agent who takes on terrorism. What's not to like about an a good guy defending American values? I also like Joel C. Rosenberg's The Last Days. It is a great build-up of end times events with fast pace action and interesting characters. And for non-fiction, I read Zig Ziglar's Born to Win and John Maxwell's Be All You Can Be. Both of them inspire me to achieve greatness.
