Smashwords Interview

When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I am a professional engineer at a major aerospace company where I analyze systems and troubleshoot issues. I also mentor college engineering students and high school students as time permits. When I'm not engineering, I'm enjoying my wife, children, and grandchildren. I like to cycle, hike, play guitar, and research family history (genealogy).
What is your writing process?
I examine engineering experiences that I have had professionally, and with college students and I put together a plausible story outline based on those experiences. I try to make it a little adventure like so to be enjoyable to read, but my main purpose if to make readers aware of the culture and career of engineering.
