Harry Mirfin was born near Rotherham in South Yorkshire and was brought up in the nearby village of North Anston, a small rural village and a conurbation of the nearby city of Sheffield. Progressing through Anston Junior & Infant School to Dinnington Comprehensive School, he started his first job in retail, selling things he knew nothing about to those who were none the wiser.
Swiftly departing the retail environment, Harry spent several years moving from one job to another until he found his metier as a Will writer for a large national bank and successively, a large national law firm. He now works for himself and, having always wanted to write, now divides his time between his business interests and writing.
His other interests include Music, Naval History and a love of anything related to cars, including the hope that, one day, Jenson Button will once again win the Formula 1 World Championship. When not writing he likes nothing better than to drool over pictures of exotic cars on his laptop. He is a member of Poplars Church in Worksop and lives nearby with his wife Maggie and son Stephen.
