Henry Mitchell lives and works in the upcountry of South Carolina where his family has resided for eight generations before him. He presently lives and works in Greenville South Carolina with his wife, Jane Ella Matthews, a Feldenkrais practitioner, and their spiritual guide and German Shepherd, Simon. Mitchell worked as a painter and sculptor for fifty years before beginning to write fiction in his seventies.
His short stories have been published in the UK by Alfie Dog Fiction. The Summer Boy is his first novel.
