Battlefield slang is a colourful glimpse at the lives of British soldiers in 'The Great War'. Despite the horrors of daily life, they injected sardonic humour into everything. This book records for posterity the language of the trenches before it disappears altogether. Includes first hand account of Albert Money of the King’s Royal Rifles Corps who was wounded in action at Aubers Ridge in May 1915
