Publisher info

Jay Sennett was born in Colorado and has lived in Asia and the United States. He writes creative nonfiction and literary fiction and only very occasionally snaps a decent photograph. The search for new metaphors and new words to describe the experiences of transgender, transsexual and genderqueer people drives his work.

In 1996 he began his transition and has lived as a man for more than 20 years.

His writing is a mixture of humor, history and an arrow or two straight to the heart of the contradictions at the center of the transsexual experience.
