Hannah R More is a mother of three adult children and full time caregiver to her elderly mom. I have been a lay-missionary, a tax processor, Federal Census worker and medical secretary. I have traveled to Canada, Mexico, Israel and South Korea. I have traveled through more than forty states and lived in at least nine. Travel is the best education one can get. It kills prejudice. I love to read, duh. I also love to cook and craft leather macrame neck adornments and will someday get back into sketching and pvc sculpture.

Smashwords Interview

How do you approach cover design?
Since I am new to publishing and really wanted to get a great cover, I asked for help and suggestions from authors in my facebook group. Anyone can join an authors group as a fan. When I pleaded for help many of my favorite authors gave me recommendations. I used one of those and hired an inexpensive cover designer. We went back and forth after giving her my initial ideas, until I got the perfect cover. I wanted to have my lead characters and a natural background representing a key location on my cover.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
My favorite books have characters I can relate to, that I want to be. But I also love putting myself into a fantasy to escape the 'real' world. I love kick-ass females with compassion, who always gets the guy in the end. I require that good always wins and a HEA every time. I would have say that my five all-time favorites are: Sunshine and The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley, the Riddle Masters of Hed trilogy by Patricia McKillip, the Mercedes Thompson books by Patricia Briggs and the Kate Daniels books by Ilona Andrews. I also need to give special mention to the Tellzey Amberdon stories by James H. Schmitz that are more YA than adult. These have all been a huge influence on me.
