Smashwords Interview

What motivated you to become an indie author?
The comparative ease of being published. Years ago I used to submit manuscripts to commercial publishers - and I have a fat binder of rejection letters to prove it!
Some of my printed books did well [Enjoying Single Parenthood was a Canadian best-seller] but most, like my ebooks, faded into the ether. Since I am very busy on the Web, publishing ebooks was a logical step.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
1. Completing the book.
2. Knowing that someone has been helped by what I wrote.
