Smashwords Interview

What are your five favorite books, and why?
My five favourite books...hmmm...only five! Well Greg Bear's Eon has to go up there, I've never read a more imaginative well thought out and gripping novel. All of the Lord of the rings books by JRR Tolkien, essential reading for anyone with an interest in the fantasy genre. Iain M. Bank's culture novels are quite simply some of the best Sci-fi I have ever read as well. The lost fleet books by Jack Campbell, this is how space opera and military SF is done, and being a big fan of Dungeons and Dragons in my youth I especially loved the Dragonlance novels by Margaret weis and Tracey Hickman.
What do you read for pleasure?
Difficult question, as being an editor as well I very rarely read for pleasure, even if I wanted to. My editors eye always seems to creep in there somehow and flag up all the little spelling errors, grammatical errors, and occasional plot hole. Although I am currently reading the of Sigmar omnibus that I acquired recently and finding it a great pick up and put down book
