Ian Osler graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1980. He moved to Oxford and spent three years working in research, before signing up to the commercial side of the biotechnology industry. He held a number of international sales and marketing positions with several companies over the course of a decade then decided to work in education. He has lived and worked in Cambridge for a number of years.
