Smashwords Interview

Describe your desk
It's a mess, now I come to look at it. Covered in papers and notes and felt tip pens. Also a bowl of bananas and clementines so I can kid myself I'm going to eat healthily at some point and won't just live on coffee and toast.
When did you first start writing?
As soon as I could pick up a pen, I suppose. But Ignite Books is about what we publish, and about our authors, all of whom have great stories to tell.

Ian Elmslie's engaging book tells – with candour and humour – how he came to brush shoulders with TV stars, music heroes, or world-renowned actors. Above all, it's the tale of a young gay man learning about love and life, and reflecting on changes in his community in the 50 years since the decriminalisation of homosexuality. An inspiring and moving read.

Price: $6.99 USD. Words: 39,670. Language: English. Published: July 17, 2011 by Ignite Books. Categories: Fiction » Fantasy » Urban
Croyd Terrace is an entirely unremarkable street in a northern provincial town. Or is it? Behind the veneer of ordinariness, the banality of humdrum routine, are there other forces at work? And if so, what can Miss Larkin and the Widow Marvell do about it? Joolz Denby has taken Magic Realism and moved it North. Put it in an urban home, and sprinkled it lightly with essence of Bradford. Wonderful.
