Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in suburban Maryland not far from the District of Columbia. I was taught to work hard and find the answer on your own. In other words I had to grow up fast. I always had a vivid imagination, just from a word or phrase I would create a fabulous scene and from that scene would come a story.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing in college but that was for work. I fell in love with it when I took a creative writing class. My professor told me that I was good and should continue to perfect my work. As time went on I stopped until 5 years ago when I was experiencing some hardships in my life. I picked up writing as a form of therapy and just took off from there.
Loving with Hate A Cry for God is pure entertainment with a spiritual message. The book has four short stories about blended families that focus on the wife in each story. Karen, Addison, Christine and Rose reach out to God for help, they will realize what their marriages and families mean to them, and that both are worth saving. All the couples are introduced to the MAPS program.
