Imogen Rose

Biography

Imogen Rose is the author of the bestselling YA series, the Portal Chronicles. She was born in a small town in Sweden and moved to London in her twenties. After obtaining a PhD in immunology from Imperial College, she moved with her family to New Jersey, where she’s been based for the past ten years.

For as long as she can remember, Imogen has dreamt stories. Stories that continued from night to night, from dream to dream. So, even as a child, going to bed was never an issue, just an anticipation of the story to come.

PORTAL, Imogen’s first novel, would have remained in her imagination, to be shared only with her daughter, Lauren, had her eight-year-old not insisted that she write it down. In the course of a month, Imogen typed while Lauren waited eagerly by the printer for the pages to appear, and a novel took shape.

The warm reception PORTAL received encouraged her to continue with the story and the Portal Chronicles. FAUSTINE is Imogen’s first book in her new series, the Bonfire Chronicles.

Imogen is a self-confessed Hermès addict who enjoys shopping, traveling, watching movies and playing with her dog, Tallulah.

An Engaging Vampire Story REINING IN is an entertaining vampire story about love, romance and friendship. The story is seen through the eyes of Khalida, a five-thousand-year-old vampire stuck in a nineteen-year-old's body. Imagine five thousand years on earth; then imagine being hunted for all that time by another vampire. Khalida has not had an easy time, but here in the 21st century, she has managed to find some stability by setting up a group of hand-selected individuals to protect her. However, an unfortunate event unscrambles her carefully constructed network and she is forced to make some hard decisions. I was immediately drawn into Author Dawn Judd's story. The story is delivered in the engaging voice of Khalida. This is a fast paced story with well-fleshed characters. There is never a dull moment. This story will appeal to teens and adults alike. The story ends leaving the reader wanting more. I can't wait to read the sequel, FINDING HOPE! Thank you for a wonderful story. Imogen Rose

A Fast-Moving Enjoyable Read Transport yourself fifty years into the future-to 2060. To a world with humans and a new species, a hybrid species, created by the interbreeding of humans and an alien species which arrived on Earth in 2020. The Rogue Militia, an organization set up to destroy them, exterminated the whole species. What remains in 2060, are the hybrid survivors, a species of shifters. April is one such hybrid. Left at an early age with adoptive parents, her early normal life was spent surrounded by humans. By the time she reaches the age of nineteen, she notices changes within her. She also notices physical changes. She realizes that she is a shifter-she can transform into a wolf. She is introduced to her hybrid family. She also realizes that she is 'The Hunted'-hunted by the The Rogue Militia, who having eliminated the alien species, now focuses on exterminating the hybrids. Ami Blackwelder takes us on a rip-roaring adventure in the future. I was immediately drawn in by April and this intriguing story. Her struggles to accept who she is, torn between her loyalties to her hybrid clan and to the humans in her life. This is a fast-moving story, never a dull moment. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it and can't wait to read more from this awesome author.
