When did you first start writing?
As far as I can remember, I started writing in the third grade. I was given an assignment to write a short book, complete with a wallpaper and cardboard cover. I wrote about the town I had just moved from, and about my experiences with moving. My teacher raved about my story, and invited me to read it to the school via the PA system in the office. From that point on, I wanted to be a writer when I grew up.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I am inherently terrible at selling myself. I could never come up with a decent query letter that left me feeling confident enough to send it to a traditional publisher. As a result, I started looking into self-publishing, and eventually took the leap.
