Keith Gockenbach grew up in Robinson, Illinois, where he played golf and caddied for Bob Goalby and other pros in the PGA Tour’s Robinson Open. In addition to golf, he became an incessant reader, devouring the works of Alistair McLean, Agatha Christie, Dick Francis and others. As a chemical engineer from Clemson University, he enjoyed a successful career in the chemical industry, receiving his MBA from MIT and rising to the level of Vice-President at Eastman Chemical Company. He then pursued his dream of professional golf on the Champions Tour, twice qualifying for the Champions Tour National Qualifying Tournament. He played in the 2006 U.S. Senior Open at Prairie Dunes and the 2007 British Senior Open at Muirfield. He lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida with his wife Lynn and their two standard poodles, Rose and Dazzle.
