Michael Trelissic was born in 1946; a year after the war in Europe had ended.
Brought up in the industrial north of England by his widowed mother and his beloved grandmother his childhood was a happy one. His playgrounds were the chemical dumps and contaminated fields but his imaginations transformed them into the much fabled green and pleasant lands of England.
He wrote from an early age and although his work was not of the classical literature kind it was always interesting and thought provoking, often with hidden meanings.
